Thanks to the SeGMo Positioning GEL 6009, projects for automated format adjustment now pay off much faster than before. Even in applications where full automation was previously not possible for cost reasons, it can be used to increase productivity and reduce the workload of operators. Thanks to IO-Link, the actuator can be easily integrated into the control system.

In addition to the actuators with protection class IP 67, Lenord+Bauer now offers a solution for applications where IP 54 is sufficient. The compact design that has proven itself on the market has been retained. The new drive also uses the battery-free absolute encoder that is installed in all SeGMo products. The electrically maintenance-free operation ensures high reliability and low life cycle costs. Battery changes and the resulting unplanned machine downtimes are no longer necessary.

The GEL 6009 is equipped with a 14 mm hollow shaft that can be flexibly adapted to smaller diameters using reducing sleeves. This increases the number of identical parts, improves availability and simplifies warehousing for the machine manufacturer.

The support of the simple IO-Link cable topology offers advantages when using the new drive in combination with the company's digital position indicators. Both the SeGMo-Assist displays and the GEL 6009 can be operated with just one cable on an IO-Link master. This simplifies the planning of systems, as only the end device needs to be selected according to the desired level of automation. The existing IO-Link hardware, i.e. IO-Link master and cabling, remains unchanged. In the future, the GEL 6009 will also be available with integrated Industrial Ethernet fieldbus interfaces.
