Vacuum blocks

Whether you are using a nesting or grid table, Schmalz's new vacuum blocks VCBL-R and VCBL-N are a well-thought-out 2-in-1 solution. The series securely fixes workpieces to the various tables and, thanks to the wide range of dimensions and clamping heights, solves every task in CNC woodworking.

The new vacuum blocks VCBL-R and VCBL-N are characterized by high flexibility and short setup times. Schmalz has focused on a clever 2-in-1 function in the design: the innovative clamping devices can be prepared with a single hand. The friction clip on the underside fixes the vacuum blocks on nesting and smooth tables. The clip allows it to be removed in seconds – so the suction cup also sits firmly on all common grid geometries with 30 and 40 millimeters.

This gives users a universal solution that allows them to equip both grid and nesting tables. When more elaborate processing is required, such as on the edge of a workpiece or small parts, the new series provide the solution without affecting the protective board made of MDF. The hose connector, available as an accessory, allows the unit to be used in any position on the grid table, even if there is no suction point below the suction cup. It also increases performance in particularly demanding applications.

Tool-free replacement

The suction plate can be used to secure components of all types – from rough or structured surfaces to solid wood. It can be quickly replaced without the need for any tools when it is worn. Its membrane protects the workpiece from direct contact with the standard sensing valve and also prevents dirt from entering. The optional lift-off system protects the sealing edge of the suction plate from damage and makes it easier for users to load and unload large workpieces.

The adaptable series, with working heights of 25 to 132 millimeters, is equally suitable for simple 3-axis and complex 5-axis machining.
