Even more efficiency and choice for rack and pinion drives

Planetary gears with a factory-preassembled pinion offer the ideal drive solution for rack drives. Neugart is now introducing a particularly economical model with this option and is also refining the corresponding range. Designers can therefore choose between even more possible pinion and gear combinations when creating racks.

For the first time, Neugart is now also offering the PLPE economy planetary gear with a factory-preassembled pinion. This means there is a particularly economical alternative to choose from. The PLPE offers high performance for the price of an economy gear: It is based on the Neugart economy gearing technology that has been tried and tested thousands of times.

The reinforced deep groove ball bearing mounted on the output side is designed for greater radial and axial forces - compared to the PLE gear. Thanks to the large number of different motor adapters, the PLPE can be attached to almost all common servo motors in just a few steps. Its compact outer contour also allows it to be used even in limited space. The PLPE with pinion is available in four sizes: 070, 090, 120 and 155.

The range extension also affects the PK1 pinion series. These pinions are mounted on the gear unit's toothed output shaft. Internal gearing in accordance with DIN 5480 ensures the necessary connection security. A total of seven additional PK1 pinions are now available: two helical and five straight-toothed. The new variants also include one helical and one straight-toothed pinion with a tooth size of module 1.5.

Neugart gear unit with pre-assembled pinion

A gear unit-pinion combination developed from a single source ensures the ideal technical coordination of all components. With the current extensions, the Neugart range of planetary gear units with factory-preassembled pinions now includes 59 different pinions for ten gear unit series (seven coaxial planetary gear units and three angular gear units). The pinions are available in modules 1.5 to 5 and with 14 to 45 teeth. All pinions are 100 percent manufactured and assembled by Neugart. They are hardened and ground to a surface quality of Q6.

As is usual at Neugart, the entire range with pre-assembled pinions is available from batch size 1. Delivery of the new components will start in December 2024. The new products will also be integrated into the Neugart software tools Neugart Calculation Program (NCP) and Tec Data Finder (TDF).
