Testing units
Facilitates administration and monitoring
With the release of the basic software ConSense 2024.2, another module from the Aachen-based software developer ConSense GmbH, test equipment management, is now also available for the web-based solution ConSense Portal. The module makes it easier for companies to systematically manage and transparently monitor their test and measuring equipment. Browser-based access and new functions make the use of the module as part of a ConSense QMS or IMS even more efficient and user-friendly.
The current version of the ConSense test equipment management module supports companies in managing their test and measuring equipment with new features and even more efficient use. The module organizes the date and interval recording of tests and calibrations, the tracking of loans and the complete documentation of the life cycles of test and measuring equipment. The current version has a new function, cost recording. This allows acquisition, inspection and maintenance costs of test and measuring equipment to be recorded in detail.
Another highlight comes from using the module together with the web-based solution ConSense Portal: Users can put together individual dashboards and thus access their most important key figures and data from the module. Multiple entry is suitable for particularly quick and efficient inclusion of existing test and measuring equipment in the system - for example for test equipment that is available in large numbers in the company. These can be recorded in a bundle with just a few clicks.
Creative applications - from scales to company cars
The module's possible applications are diverse and go far beyond classic test equipment. Thanks to its structured structure, the module is suitable for managing all work equipment in a company that requires monitoring. In addition to test and measuring equipment, this can also include work equipment such as forklifts, ladders, fire extinguishers and much more. "We even have customers who use the module for their fleet management, just like we do at ConSense," says Dr. Stephan Killich, Managing Director of ConSense GmbH.
ConSense Portal: Browser-based access for maximum flexibility
With the hosted solution ConSense Portal, a web-based management system can be installed. If you opt for a hosted system, you only need a browser and an internet connection for device-independent access. A QMS or IMS that was set up with the ConSense Portal offers companies numerous advantages in their everyday work. In addition to location-independent access for users, this also includes reducing the workload on the IT department: software updates are installed automatically and centrally by ConSense. This means that the management system is as up-to-date as possible and at the same time benefits from the highest security standards.
"With new features and availability for the web-based solution ConSense Portal, the ConSense test equipment management module makes QM processes even more efficient and transparent," says Dr. Stephan Killich.
