Nord Drivesystems offers complete drive systems for crane applications from a single source. In addition to motors and drive electronics, the industrial gearboxes in the Maxxdrive series are the heart of the Crane & Cargo portfolio. With Maxxdrive XD and Maxxdrive XJ, the solution provider has two industrial gearboxes that are optimized for use in cranes.

Cranes are highly complex transport systems in which partially superimposed motion sequences of hoist, travel and trolley gears have to be controlled. With Nord's modular product kit, suitably dimensioned drive solutions can be created from efficient motors, scalable drive electronics and powerful industrial gearboxes from the Maxxdrive series.

Specially optimized for Crane & Cargo

NORD developed the Maxxdrive XD industrial gearbox specifically for hoists. The housing design of the spur gear is precisely tailored to the typical installation situation and the loads that occur. An elongated arrangement of the gear stages enables a U-shaped drive structure with a cable drum and motor on the gearbox side. The industrial gearbox series has a center distance of up to 1,281 mm.

The Maxxdrive XJ industrial gearbox is ideal for use in trolleys and trolleys. Its special feature is its J-shaped shaft arrangement. It combines an elongated arrangement of the gear stages with a vertical drive shaft. This increases the scope for system design and offers a space-saving gearbox design for tight installation spaces.

All industrial gearboxes in the Maxxdrive series are based on the torsion-resistant BLOCK housing from NORD. The robust design was optimized for Maxxdrive XD and Maxxdrive XJ for downward and external loads. With optional accessories such as drum couplings for cable drum drives or brake consoles, the gearboxes can be designed to precisely match the respective application requirements.
