Meets the highest safety standards for 30 switches
Omron has introduced the D40A-2, the latest addition to its range of non-contact safety door switches. These switches are essential for stopping machines as quickly as possible when an access door opens. This enables companies to ensure the safety of their employees and prevent accidents in operating equipment.
The D40A-2 uses Hall effect detection and coded magnetic elements to reduce wiring costs and installation effort. Its versatile design suits both swing and sliding doors in applications ranging from wafer cleaning systems and filling machines to robotic manufacturing.
The D40A-2 meets the highest safety standards (PL e / Cat. 4), even when connected in series. It also supports up to 30 switches in series with a total cable length of up to 200 meters. This feature allows manufacturers to secure multiple access points with a single safety controller. The D40A-2 features robust diagnostic functions and an auxiliary output for connecting a relay. It also supports various configurations (PNP or Bipolar NPN/PNP).
To meet the strict hygiene and durability requirements of the food and beverage industry, the D40A-2 features a label-free, direct laser-marked design. In addition to IP66/IP67 protection, it offers ECOLAB-certified chemical resistance, ensuring high resistance to water jets and harsh cleaning agents.
