Bearings
Maximum performance in the smallest space
When compact design, low weight and maximum stability are important, the Kaydon thin-section bearings from Rodriguez are the perfect solution. They combine a slim, lightweight design with robustness. Whether miniaturization, space saving or weight reduction - thin-section bearings are ideal for demanding applications.
For decades, Rodriguez has successfully offered over 250 different thin-section bearings from the Reali-Slim series from the manufacturer Kaydon. Compared to conventional bearings, these space-saving precision components impress with weight and space savings of up to 80% without sacrificing performance or accuracy. Due to these properties, they are used in demanding areas such as aerospace, medical technology, robotics and semiconductor manufacturing as well as in the oil and gas industry, in satellite and radar systems and in packaging and machine tools.
Slim cross-section – high performance
With the thin-section bearing, more and smaller rolling elements, distributed over a larger area than with the standard ball bearing, ensure high load-bearing capacity and rigidity. The large bore diameter saves weight and enables the passage of air and hydraulic lines, cables or shafts. The consistently slim cross-section across all sizes allows the use of hollow shafts instead of solid shafts. In the four-point bearing design, for example in stainless steel, a Reali-Slim thin-section bearing can often even replace two standard ball bearings.
As an even more compact solution, Rodriguez offers the Ultra-Slim thin-section bearings. These corrosion-resistant and vacuum-compatible lightweights consist of stainless steel rings and ceramic balls. With diameters of 35 to 200 mm and a particularly small cross-section of just 2.5 to 3 mm, they impress with their space-saving design. The bearings are available as type C (deep groove ball bearing), type A (angular contact ball bearing) and type X (four-point bearing).
Metric and hybrid thin-section bearings
Thin-section bearings in metric design make calculations easier and, like all of the company's thin-section bearings, are characterized by their low weight and small cross-section. The corrosion-resistant hybrid thin-section bearings with ceramic balls are particularly suitable for use in vacuum or clean rooms.
