Clamping technology
Even more choice
Greater precision, less setup time, maximum efficiency: Norelem is expanding its clamping technology portfolio with Unilock zero-point and 5-axis modular clamping systems. With these pneumatic zero-point clamping systems, fixtures, vises, and workpieces can be clamped and changed in seconds. The 5-axis modular clamping system was specially developed for the 5-sided machining of complex workpieces – both systems achieve a repeatability of less than 0.005 mm.
Zero-point clamping systems establish a fixed reference point from which workpieces are positioned and clamped precisely and with repeatable accuracy. Since readjustment is no longer necessary, setup times are shortened and productivity increases. Also available: 5-axis modular clamping systems in sizes 80 and 50, which allow objects of various geometries, formats, and weights to be machined from five sides without interfering edges.
Safe and reliable: Pneumatic zero-point clamping systems
New to the range is the Unilock clamping module EGM 110-75. It can be used on machine tables or in fixtures, even when space is limited. It can also be integrated into robotic automation systems together with an EGM 110-75 pallet coupling to automatically change clamping pallets.
The Unilock clamping module ESA 138 is ideal for automatic clamping systems. In addition to the monitoring functions, four special support surfaces with air system monitoring ensure that the clamping device is fully clamped. Furthermore, a special wiper prevents dirt from accumulating on the module.
The Unilock clamping module ASM 99 is a built-in module with a total height of 56 mm (including the clamping module). Alternatively, the module can be fully integrated into a fixture plate or the machine table.
Each of the systems features integrated monitoring functions that ensure that the workpiece remains securely positioned at all times and prevent collisions with milling cutters or other tools.
Completely flexible: Mechanical 5-axis modular clamping system
With this system, complex workpieces can be machined and completely manufactured from five sides in a single setup. They are bolted to the 5-axis modular clamping system using screw connections. Thanks to its modular design, the variety of modules (more than 70) and sizes, the system can be individually configured and recombined for many applications. The combination of base modules, add-on modules, and accessories guarantees the realization of different heights, docking at interfaces, and the machining of complex workpieces with very high repeatability.
The Unilock 5-axis base module Vario, for example, enables flexible positions when clamping workpieces and fixtures. It can be attached to the rail in the base with one or two Unilock clamping bolts. When using only one clamping bolt, the base module Vario can rotate freely.
The Unilock 5-axis base module Duo, with its three clamping bolt interfaces, is used for stable, tall structures with heavy workpieces. Compared to round base modules, this creates a larger support surface. The Duo base modules can be installed with the double interface facing down or up.
