Linear guidance
Innovative linear movements from Franke
The innovative Franke principle of the wire race bearing transferred to linear movements. Thanks to their modular design, Franke linear movements can be individually adapted to requirements.
Uniquely dynamic. Uniquely individual.
The Franke principle: Franke transfer the innovative principle of the innovative wire race bearing to linear movements
They consist of a lightweight aluminum base body with needle or ball bearing mounted rollers made of steel or corrosion-free steel and are completely maintenance-free. Special cover plates on the rollers seal the bearing to the outside.
Rollers in an O arrangement ensure an equally high load capacity from all directions. The rollers are provided with a groove that is adapted to the profile of the track. This guided roller system guides the rollers axially and ensures smooth and quiet running. Rail and carriage profiles can also be customized.
Franke linear guides are available as guide rails with carriages or as a pair of guide rails with a pair of roller shoes.
Properties for special environmental requirements
Franke linear guides are used in numerous industries and impress with their precision, reliability and durability. Whether medical technology, mechanical engineering, automation technology or other demanding areas - Franke products meet the specific requirements of every industry and help to raise the efficiency and performance of applications to a new level.
The requirements for use under special conditions are also met:
- cleanroom suitability
- minimal weight, low inertia
- acceleration up to 100m/s² and speed of 10m/s
- can be used in vacuum environment
- corrosion resistance due to stainless steel
- FDA-compliant (stainless steel stainless steel, FDA lubricants)
- wide temperature range (-40°C to +200°C)
- maintenance-free and sustainable
- energy efficient
- smooth-running and quiet
- lubricant-free and clean (encapsulated rollers)
- easy to install
Accessoires
The linear guides are equipped with metal clearers and felt wipers on the end faces of the carriages to keep the tracks clean and dry. Appropriate accessories can be added for special requirements:
For trolleys with screw fixing from below, the existing fixing holes are reworked so that screw fixing from below is possible.
Carriages with a clamping device allow the carriage to be locked in any position along the guide track. The clamping acts force-free on the guide system.
Additional metal wipers are inserted and clipped onto the wiper plate in addition to the felt wipers and are used to remove coarse dirt from the track of the rail.
Stop screws are screwed into the threads (optional) of the guide rails. An attached rubber cap dampens the stop.
Inductive measuring system for precise determination of the positioning location within complex and difficult to access systems. The user-friendly plug & play solution works with all common control programs on the market.
Why linear guides from Franke?
Homogeneous with aluminum construct: The main components of Franke linear guides - rails and carriages - are made of aluminum. Franke guideways are ideal for constructions made of aluminum, as the homogeneous material prevents temperature-related distortion.
Highly precise and durable: Franke's core competence lies in the high-precision manufacture and processing of wire raceways. The pursuit of precision determines every single one of our work steps. The result is rolling bearings and linear guides with outstanding accuracy values and an excellent service life.
Always the right sliding resistance: With Franke linear guides, the sliding resistance can be adapted to the application at any time using an adjustment screw. Very fine adjustments are possible. This allows the guide to be adapted to the load – in terms of ease of movement or rigidity and vibration resistance.
Maintenance-free – worry-free: The needle or ball bearings used in the rollers are lubricated for life. This means that no maintenance is required over the long service life of a Franke linear guide. We also offer lubricant-free roller bearings for applications in the food industry.
Success story: linear systems vs. Germs
Individual requirements: The Spanish packaging machine manufacturer Mespack specializes in flexible packaging. Mespack uses linear guides from Franke in many of its machines for flexible packaging.
“Franke linear guides are made of lightweight aluminum, which is very important for us because it allows us to achieve higher speeds,” explains Alonso Marquez (Mespack).
At the same time, process reliability must always be guaranteed and the durability and resistance of the products are very convincing. Customers who clean their machines very frequently for hygiene reasons also use completely corrosion-resistant linear guides from Franke.
