Software
Better, more convenient and more comprehensive management
With Release 25.0, the performance and usability of IFM's supply chain solutions have been improved. The current version includes many new features for sales and production planning, as well as for procurement and inventory management. Some of the new functions already fulfill the requirements of the SAP clean core certification. The release can now be downloaded from the customer portal.
As a long-standing SAP Silver Partner, ifm offers seamlessly integrated software solutions for the holistic optimization of supply chain processes. After an intensive development phase, Release 25.0 of the solutions Supply Chain Excellence on SAP S/4HANA, GIB Suite on SAP ECC 6.0 and Shop Floor Integration is now available for download. The release extends the scope of services in all process areas and provides a significant increase in convenience.
In the area of demand planning, Release 25.0 offers the option of choosing between value-based sales and volume planning. In addition, extended functions from the Predictive Analytics Library (PAL) from SAP are available. Seasonality and white noise tests can be used to create even more precise analyses that positively influence forecasting accuracy. The highlights in manufacturing include enhancements to the Fiori app for graphical detailed planning, which increase planning convenience and provide a sound basis for making decisions faster and identifying bottlenecks at an early stage.
In addition, it is now possible to visualize the use of production aids, creating transparency and avoiding outages due to overlaps. New in procurement is, among other things, a feature for dealing with supplier outages and the line-buy function, which ensures efficient procurement for individual suppliers and supplier groups. Orders are optimized by delivery cycles and target stock levels, which increases availability and reduces freight costs. The new Fiori app “Inventory Value Change Trend Analysis” in Inventory Management provides precise insights into trends and changes in inventory values and makes it possible to track developments at any time. Another new app helps to identify future slow-moving items today.
A lot has also happened in shop floor integration. New automation functions such as e-Kanban, automated goods receipt and issue, and production feedback ensure greater productivity and fewer frictional losses. In addition, the release brings with it suitable track-and-trace solutions for a wide range of infrastructures. Optical tags as well as RFID and RTLS systems are used.
Decisive progress for innovative solutions
Many other innovations round off the package. With Release 25.0, IFM has succeeded in bringing an intuitive software to market that makes users' day-to-day work easier and helps companies achieve shorter delivery times and fewer disruptions.
“Our goal was to make the software solutions even more powerful and user-friendly – and we have succeeded. With the new release, we are also setting an important milestone: the first functions meet the SAP clean core certification requirements. This underlines our innovative spirit and our commitment to future-proof solutions,” says Volker Blöchl, Managing Director at ifm business solutions.
