Couplings
Direct connection without additional intermediate storage
In mechanical and plant engineering, the force-locked connection of widely spaced shafts requires precise and efficient solutions. To meet this demand, Enemac has developed distance couplings that enable a direct connection without additional intermediate bearings, thus reducing both the assembly effort and material costs.
By using a variable-length intermediate tube, spacer couplings can bridge center distances of up to 6 m. The tube is manufactured and adapted according to customer-specific requirements. These coupling systems can function as backlash-free connecting, joint or synchronous shafts, thus allowing highly precise power transmission without additional bearings.
Compensation of misalignment and highly dynamic application
The EWLM series was specially designed to compensate for misalignment, in particular axial and radial offset. It consists of two torsionally stiff metal bellows couplings connected by a high-strength aluminum tube. This design maintains the advantages of the metal bellows coupling, such as high torsional stiffness and low inertia, and is optimized for high operating speeds. A variant is also available for applications with increased temperature requirements up to 300°C.
Compensation of lateral offset and vibration damping properties
The EWLH type offers an optimal solution for compensating lateral offset. This variant consists of two highly flexible elastomer couplings connected by a high-strength aluminum tube. The plug-in coupling elements allow for easy axial displacement, thus facilitating assembly. The integrated polyurethane elastomer spiders ensure backlash-free power transmission, have a damping effect on vibrations and also provide electrical insulation. The combination of clamping and half-shell hubs ensures a secure, force-locked connection.
Technical performance parameters
Enemac distance couplings are designed for torques up to 1,600 Nm and shaft diameters up to 100 mm. They can be used at speeds of up to 8,000 min⁻¹ and are therefore ideal for highly dynamic drive systems.
Stainless steel variants for hygiene-critical applications
The EWLC series was developed for use in demanding environments such as medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage technology. This variant consists of two stainless steel A4 metal bellows couplings connected by a stainless steel A2 or A4 intermediate pipe up to 3 m long. The high corrosion resistance and the hygienic surface finish meet the strict requirements of these industries. The split clamping hubs enable a simple and quick assembly while ensuring a reliable, force-locked connection.
With this expansion of the product portfolio, Enemac offers versatile solutions for mechanical engineering that enable precise and low-maintenance torque transmission in both highly dynamic and hygienically sensitive areas.
