Couplings
Hygienic and high-torque
KBK Antriebstechnik manufactures a wide range of industrial couplings. All models are also available in a stainless steel version for use in hygiene-critical applications. These couplings can be used without problems in the food and pharmaceutical industries as well as in medical technology.
The KBK product range includes couplings with a wide variety of properties: while metal bellows couplings transmit torque highly precisely and backlash-free, elastomer couplings compensate for vibrations and shocks, thus extending the service life of machines and systems. Cardan couplings are ideal for the torsionally rigid transmission of torque with large radial and angular displacements. Magnetic couplings are used for the permanent protection of overload processes, slotted couplings transmit high torques in confined spaces.
The stainless steel versions of all couplings are characterized by a long service life and high resistance to heat and corrosion. That is why manufacturers of chocolate production plants, fruit and vegetable processing plants, beverage bottling plants and cutters for the meat industry use stainless steel couplings from KBK. Furthermore, the couplings that are particularly easy to clean are installed in medical technology applications and packaging plants.
For applications with particularly high requirements for corrosion protection, KBK also offers the couplings in V4 stainless steel as well as a laser-welded variant. These features make the couplings ideal for use in environments with higher temperatures. All couplings for hygiene-critical applications are supplied with high-strength stainless steel screws that ensure unrestricted torque transmission.
If required, KBK also manufactures customized designs based on its standard couplings and develops special solutions. In addition to couplings, the complete range of shaft-hub-connections and clamping rings is also available in stainless steel.
