In mechanical and automated production, control and signaling devices are indispensable interfaces between humans and machines. Control devices can be used to set up, start, and stop processes; in emergency situations, they can stop entire applications with just the press of a button. Signaling devices indicate the operating status of a machine or system and, for example, use colored light signals to draw attention to changes and malfunctions. Traditionally, the color green indicates trouble-free operation, while red indicates an error, malfunction, or stop.

Robust, compact design, intuitive operation

In control and signaling devices, the actuator and contactor usually form a single functional unit. This makes them very compact and allows them to be assembled very closely together to form complex control panels. Norelem's pushbuttons, switches, and indicator lights are designed for installation openings with a diameter of 22.3 mm.

Further features of the new control and signaling devices include their intuitive operation and high-quality, robust construction. Their full functionality is maintained even under extreme conditions. The individual components have all relevant international approvals, and the devices are available with IP65 protection as standard (device part in front of the control panel). Special versions have IP67 protection. Solid hard silver is used for the contacts; all illuminated control and signaling devices are equipped with the latest LED technology.

Versatile applications, wide selection

Users can choose from various versions, including pushbuttons (standard, tactile, and illuminated), double pushbuttons, and selector switches (momentary, maintained, and key-operated). Custom labels with standard symbols and text for insertion into the pushbuttons and indicator lights expand the range of applications and enable customer-specific configurations. Norelem offers matching plastic surface-mounted enclosures with the appropriate installation cutouts for its control and signaling devices.
