New products at SPS 2025 in Nuremberg from FSG Fernsteuergeräte

At SPS 2025, FSG will be presenting the new SL-A series of draw wire sensors with length measurement directly in the housing. Also new: the GS130 size of the SL00-R draw wire sensor.

With the SL-A series, FSG has taken a proven design principle in the field of cable pull sensors and refined it into an optimized form. What is new about the solution developed by FSG is the design implementation, which enables exceptionally high measuring accuracy and repeatability across the entire measuring range. As a result, the SL-A series devices combine precision with the typically high FSG quality and cost-effectiveness.

The SL-A series is used in general mechanical and plant engineering, mobile machinery, automation, and lifting systems. It is particularly interesting for OEM customers who value compact design and precision in series production and are looking for a cost-effective solution.

Two versions and three measuring lengths available

FSG is presenting two main designs at SPS: The basic version SL-A-S with a maximum measuring length of up to 8 m forms the standard series, with a focus on cost efficiency and reliability, designed for high-volume applications. In the SL-A-P precision series, the cable pull is designed to match the available measuring lengths (2 m, 4 m, and 8 m) in such a way that maximum accuracy is achieved over the entire measuring range.

Depending on the area of application, the SL-A series can be configured with analog or digital signal outputs (U/I or CANopen, J1939). For the digital variants, signal processing can also be implemented redundantly: ideal for safety-relevant and demanding applications in automation. In addition, FSG equips the digital variants with an integrated inclination sensor as an option.

Extensive accessories, including deflection rollers, adapter plates, and mounting brackets, complement the new series' product range at market launch and offer OEM customers a high degree of freedom in the implementation of their projects.

SL00-R-GS130: new size for robust drawwire sensor

At SPS, FSG will also be presenting a new size of the SL00-R cable pull sensor, the SL00-R-GS130. This slightly larger version compared to the previous SL00-R-GS80 model has an edge length of 130 x 130 mm and a cable length of 7 m.
