SPN showcases gearbox expertise at SPS

As an independent gearbox designer with its own production facility in Nördlingen, SPN offers precise, compact, and economical drive technology and will be presenting customer-specific gearbox solutions at SPS 2025.

The company's core competence lies in the customer-specific development and design of high-precision gearboxes – accompanied by its own modern production facility at its Nördlingen site. The close integration of engineering and production results in precise, durable, powerful, and economical solutions that are tailored to the requirements of its customers.

This year, SPN Schwaben Präzision is once again bringing two practical exhibits to Nuremberg::

• SPN drive and steering system for AGVs

This patented drive system was developed to be more compact, more powerful, and even more economical. Thanks to its expertise and many years of experience in the fields of worm, spur, and bevel gearboxes, SPN was able to implement this solution at short notice. The advantages lie in omnidirectional driving, a closed drive system, a very compact installation space, and high efficiency. Various motors can be attached (also depending on power) and the structure of the drive is characterized by a lightweight aluminum design.

• Compact spur gearbox

Thanks to its very narrow and compact design, the gearbox can be mounted directly on the conveyor roller without additional components such as a drive shaft. It is secured using a clamp connection, which ensures a secure drive to the conveyor rollers. It can be installed vertically or horizontally, making it suitable for use in a wide range of applications. The flexibility in gear ratios, including the option of an integrated planetary pre-stage and a wide variety of motor connections, are further features of the SPN drive.

SPN Schwaben Präzision thus demonstrates how complex requirements can be translated into tailor-made drive solutions with maximum precision and outstanding cost-effectiveness.
