A strong shield against cyber attacks

Cyberattacks on industrial control systems are increasing worldwide. Bachmann electronic has been committed to a high level of OT (Operational Technology) security for many years and is now underscoring this with the successful certification of its M200 automation solution according to IEC 62443-4-2.

At Bachmann electronic, system protection is based on the "defense in depth" principle: Coordinated protective measures at different levels of the control system increase resilience and minimize the impact of an attack. Both operators and integrators thus benefit from a robust and future-proof solution and can efficiently build their own cybersecurity concepts on it.

IEC 62443-4-2 specifies specific requirements for the information technology security of components such as controllers, communication devices, and software modules. It is aimed primarily at product manufacturers and is a crucial step in bringing industrial automation systems up to the latest cybersecurity standards.

Bachmann electronic was previously certified for secure development processes according to IEC 62443-4-1. Together, both standards cover the entire cybersecurity chain – from development through implementation to operation.
