Future-proof machine visualization

Weidmüller combines its u-view Advanced V2 touch panel series with the Procon-Web ES Web HMI to create a unified operator solution. This web-based HMI and SCADA software is now available on the u-view Advanced V2 series touch panels. As a result, machine visualization and commissioning have become easier and more intuitive.

The u-view Advanced V2 units integrate both the runtime environment and the HMI onto a single web-enabled touch panel; since Procon-Web is web-based, the system can be operated directly via the device's integrated browser. In addition to the local screen, other web-enabled devices—such as tablets or PCs—can also access the HMI. This ensures that machine operators always maintain an optimal overview of their machinery.

The robust design—featuring capacitive multi-touch technology and IP66 protection—is built to withstand even the harshest industrial environments. With display sizes ranging from 7 to 21.5 inches, users can select the variant best suited to their specific machine and application requirements. Communication drivers for OPC UA, Modbus, CODESYS, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens TIA controllers facilitate seamless integration into existing automation environments.

Users also benefit from a high degree of flexibility when creating their HMIs: predefined widgets, dynamic SVG graphics, and complex controls—such as wizards and trend charts—simplify the creation of modern user interfaces that adhere to current UI/UX standards. Data archiving, trend visualization, and a comprehensive role-based access control system round out the software's functionality. Furthermore, Procon-Web offers capabilities for the automated generation of entire projects or specific project modules.

An additional advantage is that Weidmüller supports the implementation process with tailored training programs and assists with the migration of complete projects—a crucial factor when transitioning existing applications to a web-based solution.
