Highest requirements met

With Anybus Defender, HMS Networks is introducing a new product range for the highest cybersecurity requirements in industrial environments. The new product range offers protection for networks in the manufacturing industry, for machine builders and for the critical infrastructure sector.

As cyber threats are increasingly targeting industrial environments, the Anybus Defender product range offers a firewall to protect OT (Operational Technology) networks. The main use cases are network segmentation according to ISA/IEC 62443-3-3, network address translation with traffic filtering and deep packet inspection (DPI) for industrial protocols to enable comprehensive protection for industrial plants. The new product range is suitable both for machine builders who want to integrate the highest cybersecurity into their machines and for plant operators in the manufacturing industry and in the critical infrastructure sector who want to better protect their networks against possible security threats.

The Anybus Defender range includes four different models to meet different security needs:

• Anybus Defender Compact 1004 - A space-saving solution for integration into smaller machines or for smaller industrial environments that offers robust protection.
• Anybus Defender 4002 - A versatile firewall for integration into larger machines or for medium-sized networks that combines state-of-the-art security features with easy deployment.
• Anybus Defender 6004 - This model is ideal for larger installations and offers advanced security features and comprehensive network protection.
• Anybus Defender 6024 - Designed for the most demanding industrial applications, this model offers comprehensive security and network coverage.

The Anybus Defenders are ideal for physical segmentation strategies and are available with various port configurations from RJ45 Ethernet to SFP ports with copper or fiber connections. Anybus Defender 4002, 6004 and 6024 are available with three different licenses for different security use cases.

The following features characterize this industrial security application:

• Security at the highest level: The Anybus Defenders are designed for the harsh conditions of industrial environments and offer reliable performance in demanding environments.
• Scalable solutions: Whether for small, medium or large operations, the Anybus Defender range offers scalable security options tailored to the specific requirements of each network.
• ICS-enabled software: Integrated functions for industrial asset discovery and industrial protocol policy control with automatic rule creation, which give the administrator the greatest possible overview and allow him to easily control network traffic.
• User-friendly interface: Easy setup and management via an intuitive user interface that allows users to effortlessly monitor and control network security. The Anybus Cybersecurity Console software is optionally available, with which an entire group of Anybus Defenders can be managed via a simple web interface.
