New and enhanced features, improved data security

Akytec has announced a number of important updates for its free cloud solution, further improving cybersecurity, user management, and integration capabilities. Access is also simplified: Registration and login to Akytec Cloud are now possible via a Google account, eliminating the need to create separate login credentials.

With Akytec Cloud, users can remotely monitor and control connected devices and systems as if they were on-site. Akytec Cloud includes process visualization tools such as mnemonic diagrams, charts, tables, reports, a library of animated icons, and much more. Optimized for both PCs and mobile devices, Akytec Cloud allows users to access their process maps anytime, anywhere. Akytec Cloud is free to use.

Enhanced Security and Access Control

To improve account protection and meet modern cybersecurity requirements, Akytec Cloud now supports two-factor authentication (2FA). Furthermore, a new active session monitoring feature allows users to view and terminate sessions running on other devices – for greater control and protection against unauthorized access.

Enhanced Account and Role Management

The role system has been enhanced with the addition of the "Account Owner" role, enabling clearer allocation of responsibilities within organizations and facilitating the secure transfer of account rights. Administrators receive detailed activity logs that can be exported in CSV format for review and analysis.

Improved Data Export

Reporting and data export have also been improved: Report data files and system logs can now be exported and integrated into internal documentation, analysis tools, or external systems. These new features complement the existing data export capabilities of the web SCADA environment, as well as the ability to download saved measurement data from the last 90 days in XLSX format.

Free Use, Modbus Support

This free online service for industrial monitoring and control of automated systems supports remote visualization (Web SCADA) as well as secure data acquisition, analysis, and a virtual PLC function. Devices such as Akytec's PR series programmable relays, like the PR205 and PR225, and controllers like the SPC210 can be connected to the service for remote access and system monitoring.

Third-party devices can also be connected via the Modbus protocol, Akytec gateways, or a direct Ethernet connection. A REST API also allows integration into custom applications. Operational data is securely stored on European Tier III servers.
