Precise and time-synchronous signal transmission

iba AG is expanding its portfolio in the field of industrial measurement technology with a new interface card: ibaN-2E is a PCIe card for precise and time-synchronous signal transmission and acquisition via Ethernet. It enables the integration of ibaNet-E-enabled devices and selected third-party hardware into the iba system.

The ibaN-2E card features two switched 1 GbE RJ45 ports. It enables high-precision data transmission; within a dedicated iba network, synchronization accuracy of up to one microsecond and data throughput of up to 750 Mbps are possible. The ibaN-2E can also be deployed and used with standard Ethernet infrastructure.

Seamless integration and high precision

The ibaN-2E card thus offers a future-proof solution for applications with the highest speed and accuracy requirements. Integration into the iba system is seamless: Users can configure signals, monitor current bandwidths, and keep an eye on the system status at all times via the familiar user interface. Up to four ibaN-2E cards can be used in one system and synchronized with each other.

The new interface card is ideal for dedicated data connections for components such as ibaM-COM, ibaNet-E-capable PLC systems, and other Ethernet-capable devices. Thanks to its low latency and high precision, it is the perfect solution for use in modern industrial environments – from process monitoring to machine control – when combined with other iba components.
