Fast, precise, compact

Fast, compact and precise – these are the characteristics that characterize the new linear motor modules (LMM) from Bosch Rexroth. The axes with backlash-free direct drive, available in sizes 140, 180 and 220, complement the linear technology portfolio with a ready-to-install solution with an excellent price-performance ratio. The linear motor modules are available in all sizes with iron linear motors.

Sizes 180 and 220 are also available with an ironless motor. This opens up a wide range of applications for users with standard strokes of up to 1,540 mm and forces of up to 2,400 N. At speeds of up to 5 m/s and accelerations of up to 250 m/s2, the LMM achieve a repeatability of ± 1.0 μm. These performance values enable very short cycle times, which are important, for example, for the production of electronic and optical components, semiconductors or in electromobility. Typical applications include high-precision pick-and-place tasks, the handling of electronic components or automated optical inspection.
Greatest efficiency in the smallest space

The high cost-effectiveness of the new linear motor modules results, among other things, from the integrated spindle-free direct drive, which replaces mechanical power transmission. This significantly increases the dynamics and efficiency and enables high-precision repeatability. At the same time, the modular structure of the LMM, which is delivered ready for installation, reduces the assembly effort. The new linear motor modules also reduce maintenance costs, on the one hand due to the maintenance-free linear motor and on the other hand due to the high-quality, long-lasting ball rail guides with long relubrication intervals.
