Flexible use with maximum performance

Industrial Ethernet enables companies to optimize their production processes, increase efficiency, and facilitate the integration of various automation systems. For this reason, Kübler is expanding its Industrial Ethernet portfolio with the new S58x8FSX safe FSoE encoder.

The SIL2 and SIL3 certified Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) combines all the advantages of the EtherCAT communication protocol with additional safety mechanisms to support safety-critical applications. The singleturn resolution is 15 bits safe or up to 24 bits non-safe, as well as fully redundant multiturn information of 12 bits safe. Thanks to the platform architecture, this is implemented in exactly the same design as the S58 Profisafe encoder.

Without the need for a web server, updates can be easily performed via FoE (File over EtherCAT). This significantly simplifies the maintenance process and ensures that the encoder always remains state-of-the-art. Specifications such as high-resolution position values, gear ratio, variable integration times, and much more offer added value for customers and enable optimal use in applications such as the packaging industry or special-purpose machinery. Furthermore, the new FSoE meets Cyber ​​Security SL1 requirements and supports a "defense-in-depth" concept, which is becoming increasingly important in times of growing threats from cyber attacks.
