Increase in energy efficiency of up to 15%
Aerzen is advancing the technological evolution of its successful turbo series, introducing the first models of the new Generation 6: the AT125-0.9S G6, AT125-1.3S G6, and AT250-0.9S G6. These units set new benchmarks for energy efficiency, control range, and digitalization, opening up new possibilities for future-oriented applications. Also new to the portfolio is the AT450-0.9S turbo stage, designed for high volume flows. With these additions, Aerzen further strengthens its position as a technology leader in high-performance, efficient turbo solutions.
With the new Generation 6 (G6), Aerzen is systematically evolving the innovative G5plus design of its turbo series. At the heart of the unit is a new turbo stage offering superior energy efficiency and an unprecedented control range of up to 1:5. This performance is driven by the perfectly harmonized interaction of the impeller, volute, and all flow-conducting components; their design is based on sophisticated CFD-supported flow analyses and precisely tailored to each specific performance class. Compared to conventional turbo technology, energy efficiency can be increased by up to 15%. The control system has also been completely redesigned, and the user display is IoT-ready. Additionally, the compact, space-saving design reduces the machine's footprint and simplifies installation in the machine room.
New Generation 6 Turbo Units
The new Aerzen Turbo AT125-0.9S G6 covers volume flows of up to 83 m³/min, while the new Aerzen Turbo AT250-0.9S G6 handles up to 157 m³/min. Both turbo sizes are designed for nominal pressures of 900 mbar. The Aerzen Turbo AT125-1.3 G6 variant, on the other hand, achieves a volume flow of up to 70 m³/min and a nominal pressure of up to 1,300 mbar. A high-performance, energy-saving permanent magnet synchronous motor—meeting IE5 (Ultra-Premium Efficiency) requirements—combined with the highly aerodynamic design of the turbo impeller and volute casing, ensures consistently high overall efficiency. The units also deliver exceptional performance during part-load operation.
High Efficiency and Operational Reliability
Modern multilevel frequency converter technology reduces motor power loss by up to 90%, significantly improving the system's overall efficiency. Another advantage is that there is no need for the additional motor chokes or sine-wave filters required with conventional frequency converters. Furthermore, the air-cooled Aerzen frequency converter is designed for intake temperatures of up to 50°C. The innovative Aerzen air bearing system with double coating ensures an extended service life of over 80,000 operating hours and maximum reliability. In addition, the turbo blowers operate completely oil-free and PFAS-free during process air generation.
IoT-Ready for Remote Monitoring
The new Aerzen Turbo control system is designed for remote monitoring as standard. The system can be activated and used provided there is appropriate on-site internet connectivity (e.g., via LAN, Wi-Fi, or mobile network). It enables transparent, real-time monitoring of key operating parameters, including differential pressure, volume flow, temperature, rotational speed, electrical power, and operating hours, as well as warnings and error histories. This enhances transparency and operational reliability while supporting integration into networked systems.
New Turbo Stage AT450-0.9S
The new AT450-0.9S turbo stage expands the turbo series into the higher volume flow range. It is designed for volume flows of up to 300 m³/min and nominal pressures of up to 900 mbar, representing the largest model size in the current turbo portfolio. Additional advantages include up to 15% higher energy efficiency and an extended control range. The innovative twin-turbo stage, featuring double-flow compression, is specifically designed for higher volume flows and offers significant benefits in terms of efficiency, operational reliability, control range, and footprint.
