Efficiency and precision in juice production

In modern production plants for juice production, R+W couplings ensure that machines work precisely and reliably. They enable trouble-free operation of the presses and mixing systems that turn fresh fruit into nutrient-rich smoothies. In production lines for cereal bars, they also ensure that ingredients are precisely dosed, mixed and shaped before the bars are cut and packaged.
Focus on hygiene and safety

R+W couplings not only meet the high hygiene standards of food production, but also contribute to the safety and quality of the products. Thanks to their robust construction and the use of food-safe materials, they minimize contamination risks. One example of this is the BKS metal bellows coupling, which is made of stainless steel and is suitable for high temperatures and contact with aggressive media. The BKS metal bellows coupling enables backlash-free torque transmission of 15 to 500 Nm and can compensate for shaft misalignments, which is crucial for the precision and efficiency of the machines.

Application example: Precise filling of liquids

When filling liquids, such as pasteurized fruit juices, high-precision dosing and movement is essential to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency. The BKS metal bellows coupling enables precise control of the filling valves and is ideal for this application due to its hygienic nature. Its stainless steel construction makes it resistant to high temperatures and aggressive media, making it the perfect solution for the requirements of food production.

Solutions for complex production processes

In addition to filling, R+W couplings are also used in other processing processes. In cutting systems for cereal bars, the ZAE universal joint shaft ensures even portioning of the continuous strand products. Its cardanic internal support absorbs the weight of the intermediate tube and enables large axle distances of up to 6 m to be bridged. These properties make the ZAE universal joint shaft an optimal solution for precise and hygienic food processing. The ZAE universal joint shaft can be used in a torque range of 10 to 800 Nm and is easy to assemble and disassemble thanks to its halved hub design, which makes maintenance easier and reduces operating costs.

R+W Antriebselemente attaches great importance to tailor-made solutions and developments. Our own R&D department works closely with customers to meet specific requirements. This year, for example, our experts developed a new elastomer coupling in a hygienic design as a prototype. This illustrates the extensive know-how.
