For reliable switching commands and clear status indications

Norelem is expanding its portfolio to include command and signaling devices featuring external contact blocks. Designed for the reliable triggering of switching commands and the clear indication of operating, status, and fault signals, these pushbuttons are used in sectors such as mechanical and plant engineering, automation technology, the process and manufacturing industries, and building services. A key feature is the ability to combine actuators and contact elements according to specific requirements.

In industrial applications, command and signaling devices serve as the central interface between humans and machines. They enable the control of functions—such as start, stop, or operating mode changes—while simultaneously displaying operating states and fault conditions.#

Modular design for flexible device configuration

Norelem’s new command and signaling devices are characterized by robust construction, durability, and high protection ratings. They can be combined with various contact and lighting elements and easily integrated into control cabinets, machines, and systems.

The devices consist of an operating or display element (pushbutton, switch, or indicator light) and an external contact block (normally open or normally closed) attached in a modular fashion. This design ensures a clear separation between the actuator and the contact mechanism, facilitating flexible device configuration. The elements can be combined to meet specific needs and replaced independently of one another, simplifying assembly, maintenance, and adaptation to diverse application requirements. The pushbuttons, switches, and indicator lights are suitable for mounting holes with a diameter of 22.3 mm.

Versions available for sensitive areas

The command devices are available as standard and illuminated pushbuttons; standard selector switches (maintained or momentary); illuminated selector switches (maintained or momentary); standard indicator lights; and key-operated switches (maintained or momentary). Custom labeling plates featuring standard text and symbols are also available for the pushbuttons. Norelem offers membrane keypads for sensitive areas such as medical and laboratory technology, the food industry, and similar hygiene-critical applications. Their sealed, robust surface protects against dirt, dust, and moisture, while allowing for easy cleaning and disinfection.
