In cooperation with Denso Europe, Gimatic has developed a gripper kit for the Cobotta robot. It includes four mechatronic grippers with accessories. The Cobot was designed for simple handling tasks and pick-and-place applications. The collaborative robot is based on an open platform that can be flexibly integrated into existing systems. Because the Cobotta is exceptionally compact, it is suitable for working in confined spaces.
Four different gripper types are offered in the gripper kit: the three-jaw gripper MPTM1606, the parallel grippers MPPM1606 and MPXM1612 and the large-stroke parallel gripper MPLM1630. The selection of the grippers is designed in such a way that the user can choose the optimum type of gripper for him and at the same time is offered a high payload of now a maximum of 270 grams.
Gripping force 100 percent secured
The light and compact grippers have a 100 percent gripping force safety device. This means that they are only energised when they are in motion, which makes them very energy-efficient. In relation to their size, the grippers also offer a high gripping force. Both properties are very advantageous, for example, for light tasks in the laboratory. If the pipette grippers were to fall down in the event of a power failure, this could cause major damage.
Depending on the application, the Cobotta customer can select the gripper that suits him best and thus solve his handling task without much effort. The kit is supplied as a ready-to-use assembly. In addition to the grippers, it contains a robot flange, covers, gripper fingers and cables with plugs and screws. Incidentally, users can get even more creative by integrating additional components such as sensors or a camera, for example. The interfaces are already available on the Cobotta. The Denso kit is available in a standard version and optionally with a peak output (P), which emits a 24 V signal when the component is gripped.
Fully ecological gripper kit
The gripper kit is aimed at dealers and end customers of Denso Robotics. Sales will start at the Motek trade fair. The kit can be purchased from Gimatic, Denso and Denso system integrators. It is delivered in a fully ecological cardboard box. The gripper and components are mounted on a wooden plate. All packaging materials are recyclable.
