Improved security communication

The Mitsubishi Melservo MR-J5 is now available with Fail Safe over EtherCAT (FSoE). This latest update enables seamless connectivity with EtherCAT-compatible devices, significantly improving interoperability, flexibility and convergence between different manufacturers.

With the integration of Fail Safe over EtherCAT (FSoE), the MR-J5 can now be connected to an approved EtherCAT master to control safety functions via FSoE. This TÜV-certified network technology meets the highest standards for safety-related systems and their messages according to IEC 61508 and IEC 61784-3.

This extension makes it easier for users in the automotive industry, consumer goods production and battery manufacturing to implement safety installations. This leads to a reduction in cabling effort and costs. Seamless integration into existing EtherCAT-based systems further improves the performance and reliability of installations.

Easy handling, cost efficiency and first-class safety

This development enables uncomplicated planning, commissioning and management of more flexible safety systems. In particular, the pre-certified product makes it easier to meet the safety requirements of machines and optimizes development, certification and validation activities, resulting in significant cost savings.

The latest version extends the performance of the proven MR-J5 series. The servo drives from Mitsubishi Electric not only offer improved safety functions, but also energy-efficient and predictive maintenance options in the smallest possible space. Users benefit from the outstanding performance, reliability and long operating time.

The integration of FSoE into the MR-J5 series marks another step in Mitsubishi Electric's continuous innovation strategy in the field of industrial automation. The company remains committed to providing the best solutions for its customers in various industries.
