Innovative solutions for agricultural technology
With the new SG-OA-Z-CAN-GS80 LED signal light, FSG is responding to the growing demand for reliable signal transmitters that ensure the safe operation of autonomous machines and vehicles. The sensor manufacturer anticipates rapidly growing demand for such signaling solutions, particularly in the fields of agriculture, construction, logistics, and municipal technology.
This innovation was developed in cooperation with renowned companies from the agricultural sector with the aim of developing a solution for clear and early external communication of autonomous machines and vehicles in accordance with DIN ISO 18497. The device integrates seamlessly into the vehicle electronics via the CAN bus interface. The signal transmitter generates optical and acoustic warning signals that can be individually customized: Instead of tones, the loudspeaker outputs stored audio files at a volume of up to 105 dB – a real added value for differentiated, individual warning messages in the context of autonomous processes.
Other features include its robust design (protection class IP66), especially for outdoor use. The housing is made of anodized aluminum and impact-resistant plastic (PMMA). The high light output (≥ 230 cd (amber), ≥ 120 cd (red/green), based on ECE-R65 (road approval) ensures clear visibility even in daylight and at great distances. Control is via CAN bus, compatible with CANopen (250 kbit/s, node ID 0x19).
Ideally suited for use in mobile machines, the SR-GS190 slip ring reliably transmits power (up to 80 A), high voltage (up to 800 V incl. HVIL) as well as signals and data (10 A / 24 V or 3 A / 24 V; CAN, Ethernet), and can be flexibly adapted. The housing is made of aluminum and plastic (protection class IP65). Further technical data and features: maximum speed 10 rpm, installation position vertical, temperature range –30 °C to +70 °C, weight approx. 8 kg (without cable). Special features include the modular design and the integrable rotary encoders and switching cams.
FSG has developed the new, highly robust SR-GS150-H8 slip ring with broad performance for applications with limited installation space and high loads, e.g., in agricultural and construction machinery as well as in mobile devices. The height is only 8 mm, the housing is made of aluminum and plastic and has a diameter of 150 mm. Despite its compact design, the system enables reliable transmission of power (up to 5 A continuously, 8 A briefly) and signals via a total of 18 channels – 8 for power, 10 for data.
FSG will also be showcasing the next generation of the LPR-2515 steering joystick at the trade fair, featuring a number of modifications based on practical experience.
