Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technology, air filtration or purification systems, compressors, or centrifuges – the range of applications for industrial air handling systems is diverse and associated with demanding operating conditions. These include, for example, high speeds and temperatures, above-average levels of dirt particles, dust, or slag, and sometimes even clean room requirements.

Like the overall systems, the installed components must also meet the respective specifications. Findling supplies ball bearing units from the ABEG portfolio specifically designed for these applications. These products have proven themselves as high-performance, easy-to-install, and economical solutions with application-specific combination options.

The closer fit between the housing and the bearing insert ensures a particularly secure hold on the shaft. Additionally, an anti-rotation device eliminates any risk of slippage. Bearing clearance and concentricity tolerances are reduced compared to the standard to minimize vibrations and noise. This significantly increases bearing service life. The "Air Handling S3" series is available as standard, while the "Air Handling S5 Non-Contact Seal" is available as a special solution for applications with even higher speeds.

BPSS – Tight Fit in High Vibrations

The Bullet Point Set Screw (BPSS) fastening solution from the Japanese housing bearing specialist FYH also ensures a tight fit of the bearing on the shaft in high vibrations. This self-expanding set screw with a rounded tip is now standard. When screwed in, the BPSS expands in diameter due to the pressure of the ball point on the shaft, expanding the thread and securely clamping it into the thread. Loosening or unscrewing due to vibrations is thus impossible.
