IoT Suite instead of glass ball

SEW-Eurodrive presents the condition monitoring and predictive maintenance system DriveRadar IoT Suite, which collects and evaluates operating data from industrial gear units. This allows the behaviour of drives and system components to be reliably predicted and maintenance and servicing measures to be planned in advance. Unwanted plant failures can thus be avoided.

The aim of DriveRadar IoT Suite is to determine the condition of industrial gear units and systems on the basis of recorded operating data. Using modern data analysis methods, it is possible to make an accurate forecast of impending damage. DriveRadar IoT Suite thus makes it possible to prevent unplanned failures and disruptions in the operating process, to detect wear and to minimise downtimes.

Always one step ahead of the fault

With DriveRadar IoT Suite for industrial gearboxes, all operationally relevant mechanical variables on the industrial gearbox are continuously measured using high-precision sensor technology and then evaluated and interpreted using state-of-the-art machine learning methods. The customer thus receives a transparent insight into the fitness status of all monitored gearboxes at all times.

With the help of the analysis algorithms, anomalies can be directly assigned to a component, which greatly simplifies the investigation of the cause. In addition to being notified when anomalies are detected during operation, the customer is provided with recommendations for action and recommended services, as well as forecasts on the remaining service life and the durability of oil or components. This allows maintenance work to be planned at an early stage and spare parts to be procured in good time - for sustainable use of the industrial gearbox with minimal risk of failure.

The DriveRadar IoT Suite for industrial gear units is available for new helical and bevel helical gear units of Generation X.e ex works. But retrofitting is also possible: industrial gear units that have already been installed can be retrofitted for monitoring in the DriveRadar® IoT Suite by a service call either on site at the customer or at SEW-Eurodrive.
