The servo motors of the AM8000, AM8300, AM8500, AM8700 and AM8800 series are optionally available with the innovative Beckhoff Smart System Diagnosis. B/SSD offers the possibility of monitoring motors and systems in real time with minimal effort and implementing effective predictive maintenance.
The precise measurement of vibrations, humidity and temperatures directly in the motor provides the basis for statistical evaluation with TwinCAT Analytics and thus the basis for effective predictive maintenance. This allows machine states and processes to be monitored and any necessary measures to be initiated at an early stage to ensure efficient operation and maximum machine availability. B/SSD uses the proven One Cable Technology (OCT), which eliminates the need for additional sensors and sensor cables and the wiring effort is similar to that of the standard motor.
Thanks to the complete integration in TwinCAT Analytics, both live data and historical data can be recorded with B/SSD, clearly visualized and processed into valuable information for machine optimization. Depending on your requirements, vibration measurements are taken on average (RMS), with peak values (peak) or statistically (kurtosis) up to +/-50g.
