Enclosures from Rose Systemtechnik are used in potentially explosive environments as well as in maritime areas and rail transport. Each enclosure has the necessary certificates and approvals for its area of application. The customer receives everything from a single source and saves time-consuming auditing procedures.
In the maritime sector, such as on drilling platforms or offshore wind turbines, enclosures must above all be resistant to seawater. For these applications, Rose therefore subjects its products to an outdoor weathering test and salt spray storage in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9227. All enclosures for maritime applications are also certified in accordance with the strict specifications of the classification societies Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Lloyds Register of Shipping and American Bureau of Shipment (ABS).
Rose also manufactures a wide range of enclosure systems for applications in environments with potentially explosive atmospheres. The entire range of Ex enclosures fulfils the requirements of both the ATEX and IECEx directives. In addition, the Ex enclosures are approved for use in the UK (UKCA), Brazil (INMETRO), South Africa (Explolabs) and China (CCC). "As we handle the certification process for our customers, they can easily integrate our enclosures into their application," says Axel Brandhorst, explosion protection officer and head of the compliance department at ROSE.
Enclosures for use in railway technology must also comply with strict standards. Polyester enclosures from ROSE for railway technology applications are certified in accordance with the fire protection standard EN 45545 for rail transport. On request, ROSE also supplies enclosures for particularly critical areas in railway technology with E30 certification - e.g. for installation in tunnels. ROSE also has approval for the welding of railway technology enclosures (EN 15085).
However, Rose not only certifies its enclosures in accordance with all current standards. The company also supports its customers in the implementation of approval processes. In doing so, the enclosure specialists utilise their expertise from thousands of successfully completed projects over the past decades.
