Real-time dashboards and new perspectives on time-domain data

With version 3.2, ibaDaVIS receives a comprehensive update that both expands existing functionality and opens up entirely new application possibilities.

A key innovation is ibaDaVIS's direct access to time periods. This allows HD storages of time periods to be defined as data sources for table tiles. This allows users to quickly and easily visualize the corresponding data, export it as a CSV file, or download it as an HDQ file for further analysis. Furthermore, data from time-based HD storages can be displayed in line charts. The combination of table and line chart can be particularly helpful: If a time period is selected in the table, the line chart automatically displays the signal curve corresponding to the selected time period.

Also new is the ability to automatically update dashboards every second. This means that ibaDaVIS can now also be used for live visualization of HD data – for example, for use in the control center or at operator stations in production. This makes the display even more dynamic and helps users identify anomalies or deviations more quickly.

Other useful visualization functions

Furthermore, the added dark mode provides an alternative display, especially in poor lighting conditions. The new radar chart tile allows the value curves of multiple signals to be displayed compactly and clearly. The color scheme in the line chart can now also react dynamically to changing conditions, for example, when limit values are exceeded or to identify specific material types. Tables can now be sorted by multiple columns simultaneously, thus providing an even more structured view of large amounts of data.

The options for creating virtual signals have recently been expanded: These can now be combined from different data sources, such as DAT files and associated time-domain data. The revised signal tree facilitates the orientation and display of signals, for example, by grouping HD signals by modules or logical units. Text values can also be filtered and analyzed more specifically in tables or diagrams.

With these new features, ibaDaVIS offers new perspectives for efficient data analysis in industrial practice. The new version is now available for download.
