The KAWEFLEX 5288 OCT hybrid cable series from TKD Kabel was designed for applications in drag chains, including as a connection between servo controllers and motors. As low-capacitance cables, they ensure stable feedback transmission over long installation distances without signal distortion. A tinned copper braid reliably shields the conductors against electromagnetic interference. Thanks to a compact design and a special stranding technique, the cables are not only lightweight. Compared to conventional servo cables, the cabling requirements can be reduced by up to 50 percent with KAWEFLEX 5288 OCT.

Like all KAWEFLEX products, the OCT design is engineered for rugged use. It is temperature-resistant up to 90°C and resistant to oil as well as, to a large extent, to greases, coolants, and lubricants. The service life of these RoHS-compliant cables is exceptionally long, with up to 10 million flexing cycles.
