Driving forward housing technology with innovations
As an independent subsidiary of the specialty manufacturer of enclosure system technology Fibox, founded in Finland in 1966, the German company Fibox GmbH is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The manufacturer of innovative plastic enclosures and wall-mounted control cabinets made of polycarbonate, ABS, polyester and aluminum, based in Porta Westfalica-Holtrup in North Rhine-Westphalia, employs around 75 people. Hans-Martin Reimler, Managing Director of Fibox GmbH, explains: "As part of the Fibox Group, we are proud to have been driving the development of enclosure system technology with our innovations for 30 years. Our economical, highly robust plastic enclosures and system solutions for automation are in demand worldwide in many future industries."
The broad Fibox portfolio currently includes 20 product lines with a total of over 1,000 product variants for indoor and outdoor use. With its impact-resistant, weather-resistant and internationally certified housing solutions, the company supplies numerous industrial sectors from factory and building automation to mechanical engineering, telecommunications and data communications, energy, environmental and water management, traffic technology and electromobility.
The easy-to-assemble plastic housings are significantly lighter than conventional sheet metal variants and can be easily processed without special tools. The range of services is rounded off by a diverse range of accessories as well as customer-specific special designs and housing processing. The Fibox Group, with headquarters in Espoo, Finland, operates ten production sites in Finland, Germany, Poland, South Korea and China and has a worldwide sales and service network.
