Ex enclosure systems for LNG terminal
Great success for Rose Systemtechnik: The company is equipping plants in the area of the new LNG terminal in Wilhemshaven with explosion-proof enclosure systems, thus making an important contribution to energy safety. Rose received the order due to its extensive expertise in the field of explosion protection - the enclosures from Porta Westfalica can be found in many refineries worldwide.
Rose is supplying the new facility at the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven with Ex enclosure systems that were specially developed for use in areas with increased safety requirements. The aluminum and stainless steel enclosures of the Ex eb and Ex db series meet the requirements of protection classes IP66 and IP67, respectively, and are suitable for use in ATEX zones 1 and 2. All enclosures are approved by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and have IECEx certification in addition to Atex certification. Rose machines the Ex enclosure systems according to customer drawings and equips them with the desired components. The Ex enclosures protect the electronics for control systems in the area of the LNG terminal, thus ensuring safe conveyance of the gas.
Rose Systemtechnik has been developing and manufacturing enclosure systems for applications in potentially explosive environments for over 50 years. The enclosures are used by numerous refineries around the globe, among others, to protect their control technology. Before delivery, they undergo stringent quality controls and endurance tests, which also include a complete explosion test.
