Neugart GmbH, a manufacturer of precision gears and drive systems, celebrated the opening of its state-of-the-art Plant 3 at its headquarters in Kippenheim with a celebratory ceremony. With an investment of over €25 million and an impressive 7,000 square meters of usable space, Neugart is setting a clear example of growth, innovation, and efficiency in production.
Construction of the new plant began at the end of July 2023 and was successfully completed within 20 months. Plant 3 significantly expands production capacity and lays the foundation for achieving the sales capacity potential of over €200 million.
"With the new plant, we are not only sending a clear signal for our future growth, but also for our ongoing innovative strength and our commitment to the highest quality," commented Bernd Neugart, one of the two managing partners of the Neugart Group, on the opening. Plant 3 is not only a technological masterpiece, but also boasts an outstanding sustainability record thanks to its energy-autonomous building technology. 100% of the energy required comes from green electricity, and a photovoltaic system on the green roof generates a powerful 550 kWp, which is equivalent to the needs of approximately 360 households.
"Our customers trust Neugart when it comes to high-quality drive technology. With the new factory and the associated capacity expansion, we can process current and future orders even faster and more efficiently," adds Managing Partner Matthias Herr.
Another significant step is the complete relocation and commissioning of the machinery, which will begin on March 10. This measure ensures that the state-of-the-art infrastructure is optimally utilized to meet increasing market demands.
The ceremonial opening was attended by numerous partners and guests from politics and business. Among the guests of honor were Marion Gentges, Baden-Württemberg's Minister of Justice and Migration; members of the Bundestag Yannik Bury (CDU) and Johannes Fechner (SPD); Markus Ibert, Mayor of the City of Lahr; and Matthias Gutbrod, Mayor of the municipality of Kippenheim. They praised the Neugart Group's innovative strength and strong regional roots, which will be further strengthened by the new plant.
The new Plant 3 in Kippenheim symbolizes Neugart's long-term vision as a family-owned company with almost a century of tradition, focused on the future, digitalization, and international expansion. Neugart thus remains a reliable partner for the automation industry and a significant employer in the region.
