Management
Generational change initiated
Bopla Gehäuse Systeme GmbH, headquartered in Bünde, is setting the course for the future: Effective September 1, 2025, Mathias Wolpiansky will join Ralf Bokämper as Managing Director. Ralf Bokämper will leave the company after more than 15 years and retire on December 31, 2025. Mathias Wolpiansky will then continue to lead the company as sole Managing Director. This sets the stage for a successful generational transition. Mathias Wolpiansky
is a graduate industrial engineer and has many years of international experience in industry. After graduating from Bingen University of Applied Sciences, he completed a study abroad program in Strategic Business Management at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He then earned an MBA with a focus on Business Administration and Management from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management.
His professional career includes senior positions in product management, sales, and international business development, where he successfully implemented growth strategies, initiated innovation projects, and led teams across national borders. With this combination of technical expertise and business experience, Wolpiansky is ideally positioned to further develop Bopla at the Bünde site, expand customized solutions for customers, and further advance the company's internationalization.
"I'm very excited about my new role at Bopla," says Mathias Wolpiansky. "My goal is to further strengthen the company's role as a leading provider of electronic enclosures, develop innovative products, and expand its international presence. It's particularly important to me to leverage the outstanding expertise and commitment of the employees at the Bünde site and jointly shape new growth prospects."
Bopla itself is one of the leading companies in the enclosure industry and can look back on over 50 years of experience. At its headquarters in Bünde, the company develops and manufactures high-quality electronic enclosures made of plastic and aluminum, as well as input units based on touchscreens and membrane keyboards. The product portfolio ranges from standard enclosures and customized solutions "from concept to series production" to HMI systems and system integration – all from a single source. With over 240 employees in Bünde and around 400 more worldwide, Bopla has been part of the international Swiss group Phoenix Mecano AG since 1977. Its products are used in numerous industries, from measurement and control technology to mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology, and railway technology.
Bopla has grown significantly in recent years and has systematically expanded its capacities: In addition to its headquarters in Bünde, a further location with approximately 2,000 m² of production space was opened in Kirchlengern. Customer-specific enclosure solutions (Custom Designed Enclosures – CDE) are consolidated there, while system integration is continuously strengthened in Bünde.
The company expressly thanks Ralf Bokämper for his many years of successful leadership, the expansion of the service portfolio, and his constant spirit of innovation. Ralf Bokämper and the entire Bopla team wish Mathias Wolpiansky much success in his new role and look forward to the company continuing its successful development under his leadership.
