Innomotics sale to KPS finalised

The sale of Innomotics, a global leader in electric motors and large drives based in Nuremberg, was completed on 1 October 2024. Innomotics had previously operated as a separate subsidiary of Siemens AG (‘Siemens’) since 1 July 2024. KPS Capital Partners LP (‘KPS’) is the new owner of Innomotics.

The closing of the sale marks an important milestone for Innomotics. The company aims to consistently expand its position as one of the world market leaders for electric motors and large drive systems To this end, Innomotics continues to pursue its clear purpose of ‘Redefining reliable motion for a better tomorrow’ and is redefining electric drive technology: the focus is on higher reliability and efficiency as well as sustainability. The demand for such products and solutions has been increasing significantly for years, particularly in traditional industrial sectors and in new energy markets such as ‘green hydrogen’ and the capture, use and storage of CO2.

Coinciding with the sale, Innomotics is celebrating its first anniversary since the carve-out from Siemens AG and the conclusion of a successful financial year. Over the past few months, Innomotics has developed into an internationally recognised, independent and successful brand. With over 150 years of experience in the development of efficient and reliable electrical drive systems, now combined with the ability to make decisions even faster and thus respond to a rapidly changing market Innomotics is convinced that this will particularly benefit customers and employees worldwide.
