Mike Hughes new Zone President for Schneider Electric DACH

Mike Hughes has been the new Zone President for the DACH zone since 1 February. He succeeds Stefan Gierse, who left the company on 31 January after a year of intensive collaboration and great commitment.

Hughes (59) has been with Schneider Electric for over 20 years and has had a varied international career. He has held various key positions in Asia and Europe, including CEO for UK / Ireland, CEO for Taiwan, Senior Vice President EMEA Datacenter and Secure Power Business or Executive Vice President for Segments and Strategic Customers. Most recently, he was President responsible for the Nordics & Baltics zone. He began his career in the field of industrial energy management and automation in the Black Forest in Germany. Mike Hughes studied Electrical and Communications Engineering at DIT in Dublin and holds an MBA from Kingston University in London. He speaks English, German, Mandarin and French. ‘I have worked in many countries, including Germany, China and France. Mike comes from Ireland, is passionate about history and travelling and will manage the DACH zone from Düsseldorf.
