Realignment
Networking material, energy and data flows
Drive manufacturer mbo Oßwald is combining three strategic steps into a clear performance promise: a new raw material warehouse as an upstream pace-setter for machining, newly installed and commissioned photovoltaic systems, and the international brand claim "Linking Technology | Smart Manufacturing." Together, these create speed, reliability, and transparency – tangible benefits for industrial customers worldwide, from prototypes to series production.
The 1,000 m² raw material warehouse is designed so that goods receipt, quality-assured storage, and decoupled supply to the production lines are digitally integrated. Real-time inventory levels, predictable setup windows, and early bottleneck detection reduce work-in-process inventory, shorten lead times, and increase on-time delivery.
Simultaneously, photovoltaic systems were installed and commissioned on several halls. The locally generated electricity flows via the integrated energy management system directly into production, smoothing peak loads and increasing security of supply. This allows us to reduce CO₂ emissions and stabilize energy costs – a gain in resilience that is passed directly on to our customers through reliable delivery dates and competitive terms.
The claim “Linking Technology | Smart Manufacturing” is not intended as a rebranding, but rather as a summary of the realignment that mbo Oßwald has consistently implemented in recent years: Linking represents the physical “link” and the function of the main components – the fasteners; Technology combines the technological leadership of our machining and fully digitized processes; Smart reflects the intelligent and efficient networking of data-driven processes from raw material to shipping; Manufacturing reinforces our existing vertical integration as the basis for quality, regardless of whether we are producing standard series products or custom-made small batches.
As a regionally rooted family business, mbo Oßwald supplies the manufacturing industry worldwide and across various sectors. The three components of a new raw material warehouse, photovoltaics and a claim are not isolated measures, but building blocks of a long-term principle: The company wants to combine technologies, network processes and manufacture intelligently – so that customers can reach their goals faster, more reliably and sustainably.
