On 12 August 2021, the time had come once again: Nord Drivesystems celebrated the topping-out ceremony for another expansion of the dynamically growing company. Only recently, a new automated small parts warehouse (AKL) had been put into operation in Bargteheide. With the current new building project "Administration 4", the currently cramped office situation at the location will be sustainably eased.
The topping-out ceremony marks a major milestone in the completion of the new office building. Administration Building 4 is also intended to be a visible sign of the steady growth of the Nord Drivesystems Group. Currently, about 1,000 employees work at the site and more than 4,100 worldwide across the entire group. It was only in 2015 that Nord had moved into Administration Building 3 with 3,448 m². Not long after, it became clear that a further expansion of capacities would be necessary. Only six years later, the new building with 5,430 m² on four floors is taking concrete shape.
In his speech in beautiful sunny weather, Nord Managing Director Ullrich Küchenmeister expressed his usual optimism for the company's further growth: "Let's see how long the newly created space will last this time." Ullrich Küchenmeister emphasised the importance of the construction project. In this context, he praised the good work of the Building Management Department and the contractors: "A big thank you to everyone involved in this project, which the Otto Wulf company is carrying out for us as general contractor. Such a result is only possible when all trades work hand in hand, trustfully together and give their best." The project goal is to complete Administration 4 in May 2022.
