Passion for digital transformation

Omron announces the appointment of Dr Lucian Dold as Senior General Manager for Global Account Business Development. Dr Dold is a leader with more than 30 years of experience in industrial automation and brings expertise and passion for digital transformation to this role.

Dr Lucian Dold has been with OMRON for over 20 years in various positions. In his career, Dr Dold has been particularly committed to promoting global collaboration between end users and partners, as well as innovation and growth in the field of industrial automation. Through his extensive network and in-depth industry knowledge, he has played a central role in the creation of new production standards globally.

In addition to his entrepreneurial responsibilities, Dr Dold is a committed educator and lecturer at the DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University). Here, he teaches digitalisation strategies for production and helps prepare the next generation of professionals for the dynamic landscape of Industry 4.0.

Dr Dold holds a PhD in Business Administration from Middlesex University (2015-2020) with a focus on digitalisation, investment and digital transformation. He has been involved in Industry 4.0 and digitalisation activities and holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Automation from Furtwangen University.
