Progress in in-house production, sustainability and digitalisation
In 2022, Rodriguez was again able to increase incoming orders and turnover - the turnover forecast is around 34 million euros. But 2022 was also an extremely successful year for the Eschweil-based company in other areas.
"One focus this year was again on expanding in-house production," says Gunther Schulz, managing partner at Rodridguez. "We have continued to invest in new machines with which we can offer our customers even more flexibility and quality." At the same time, Rodriguez is undergoing a constant evolution within the company: digitalised processes, systems and strategies ensure greater efficiency and innovation. Thus, the decision was made in 2022 for a new ERP system, which will be implemented next year.
Another goal that Rodriguez 2022 has come closer to is improved sustainability. To this end, the company successfully completed the ÖKOPROFIT consultancy programme: It helps companies and institutions to establish a practicable and at the same time highly efficient environmental management system. The aim of the programme is to save costs by using resources efficiently. On this path to more sustainability and efficiency, Rodriguez has taken many important steps this year.
Another milestone was the 25th anniversary of the Marbach location: from here, Rodriguez serves its customers in southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Under the management of Timo Hermann, 10 employees develop solutions for new and existing customers and act as contact persons for all technical and commercial questions.
Last but not least, after the years of Corona restrictions, numerous trade fairs could take place again, where Rodriguez cultivated the exchange with customers and partners. But also internally, some initiatives were able to pick up speed again: A health day and a summer party could take place again. The company sports group also meets regularly again; some employees took part in the Aachen company run. So things are going well at Rodriguez - the company enters the new year in a good position, for which it has again set itself ambitious goals: The implementation of the ERP system and, in general, the further implementation of the digitalisation strategy as well as the expansion of in-house production: In 2023, the starting signal is to be given for a new building that will expand the production areas and offices with a focus on manufacturing to approx. 2900 sqm.
