As recently announced by Mesago Messe Frankfurt, this year's SPS will take place in a hybrid format from 23 - 25 November 2021. By linking the physical trade fair world with a digital supplement, the organiser is creating a holistic trade fair experience that offers interested parties worldwide the chance to be part of SPS 2021.
After more than a year of almost exclusively digital formats, this year the organiser is focusing again on the presence exhibition, accompanied by the digital concept SPS on air. While in Nuremberg at the end of November participants can once again meet and exchange ideas in person, experience products and solutions live and delve deeply into the subject matter, an extensive programme consisting of top-class keynotes, lectures on current automation topics, discussion rounds and on-site impressions will be set up at the same time in the live studio on the exhibition grounds. The involvement of experts at the fair will enable a wide range of live contributions and expert discussions.
SPS on air focuses on current automation topics
Specialist lectures, panel discussions, expert interviews or topic-focused workshops - the range of offerings is diverse and will be available both online and after the fair. The SPS on air will focus on the key topics of digital transformation / Industry 4.0, industrial communication, safety and security, new logistics methods and robot integration, data-driven and intelligent concepts for control and visualisation and use cases for AI. Mesago thus creates a bridge to the physical PLC. Many of the products, innovations and solutions that await visitors on site will be thematised in a variety of ways on the digital platform.
"Trade fairs are places for building and maintaining business relationships, where personal contacts are made and experiencing the products and the diversity of the range is possible with all the senses. A digital format cannot fully replace this. But for those who cannot attend SPS in person this year, they can at least accompany SPS 2021 digitally and will hopefully be able to visit us on site again next year," says Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Vice President SPS at Mesago.
Digital visitors, exhibitors and speakers also have the opportunity to get in touch with each other via the various channels of SPS on air, to ask questions, to discuss, or even to strengthen relationships and make new ones.
