With Matthias Bugla, Head of Quality, and Paulo Aguiar, Head of Programme Management, there are two fresh forces at Bühler Motoren.

As early as 1 December 2020, Matthias Bugla assumed overall responsibility for the quality of the Bühler Motor Group worldwide as Vice President Quality. This includes ensuring that all development and production targets are met and that the customer's quality requirements are fully implemented.

As of 8 March 2021, Paulo Aguiar has assumed responsibility for programme management of the Bühler Group worldwide as Vice President. In this role, in addition to project management, he is also responsible for the strategic development of the product portfolio of the Automotive, Industrial Drive Solutions and Aviation market segments of the Bühler Motor Group.

Matthias Bugla was most recently Head of Production Quality and Head of Industrialization Electrical Systems at the Dräxlmaier Group, in Vilsbiburg. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering, specialising in production technology and mechatronics, and obtained a Master of Business Administration while working. His strengths include his structured quality thinking, his ability to recognise complex interrelationships and his ability to work out solutions in a spirit of partnership.

Before joining Buhler Motor, Paulo Aguiar was Business Development Director Emissions, Thermal & Turbo Systems at BorgWarner in Auburn Hills, Michigan USA. A native of Brazil and an engineer with an MBA, he has previously worked in Germany. He has held various international positions at leading global automotive suppliers with a focus on engineering and project management. He is passionate about global leadership, cross-functional collaboration and the development of local and global product strategies.
