The SFU0200 has been the workhorse among the frequency converters from BMR elektrischer und elektronischer Gerätebau GmbH (BMR for short) for years and is used worldwide in numerous applications with synchronous and asynchronous high-speed spindles.

The family-run company from Schwabach has developed an update just in time for SPS 2023: With 510VA compared to 480VA previously, the SFU0200X offers an extra plus in power for continuous operation and as a reserve in pulse load operation - and that by waiving the external heat sink. This innovation saves space in the desktop version as well as in the SSE control cabinet unit thanks to its significantly more compact dimensions than its predecessor, thus providing new application possibilities. An optionally available synchronous rectifier in the power supply unit reduces heat build-up and increases efficiency and effectiveness.

For maximum flexibility when integrating into specific applications on site, 4 freely parameterizable inputs and outputs are now available for communication with the controller. Three of the outputs switch with a genuine active 24V level and control the PLC inputs directly, in other words without further wiring. All this saves time and money.

Another feature: machine operators on site can use the new +10V reference output to implement individual speed setpoint specifications easily and without additional external components using a potentiometer.

With the optional STO module and the Safe Torque Off (STO) function, the device meets all requirements for "Safe Torque Off". For simplified communication, a USB interface and an LCD panel are available in addition to the serial RS2323, which displays the device status and enables further settings to be made directly on the device on site.
