Control panels
Problem solver for the food industry
The Heinrich Kipp factory has added new detectable control panels to its range. Both visual and metal detectable products are available. They are designed for the food industry and help to prevent major failures in the event of potential contamination in the production process.
Visually detectable control panels are coloured ultramarine blue (similar to RAL5002). The background: the colour blue is rather untypical in the food sector, so that these products can be easily identified when they come into contact with food. In addition, the operating parts meet increased hygiene requirements - for example, the cross handle can be cleaned very easily thanks to its closed handle contour with a smooth surface.
The metal-detectable operating parts go one step further. Their components can be detected using induction technology. This is helpful if a control panel - whole or in fragments - accidentally enters the production process. In this case, special detection systems can reliably select the foreign objects, even if they are invisible to the naked eye. Fragments of up to 0.027 cm³ (size approx. 3x3x3 mm) can be detected and ejected so that no large production quantities have to be disposed of.
All detectable operating parts from Kipp are made of EU10/2011- and FDA-compliant, glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic; the inserts are made of stainless steel 1.4404. The maximum operating temperature is 120 °C. Available are bow, wing, star and cross handles as well as knurled knobs and clamping levers.
