Electric motors
Range of services expanded
Parker Hannifin announces the latest addition to its Global Vehicle Motor (GVM) family of high-performance AC permanent magnet (PMAC) motors. Two larger motors are now available, significantly extending the power range to up to 351 kW (850 kW peak) for a weight of 230 kg.
The GVM310 motor now has additional laminate lengths of 300 and 400. It offers improved power density and high efficiency, making it an ideal traction solution for commercial electric vehicles (EV) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) on and off-road - from construction and material handling to forestry and mining vehicles.
The expanded GVM motor range offers several key benefits. It boasts one of the best power-to-weight ratios and efficiency ratings in the industry, ensuring optimal performance with significant energy savings. The GVM310 is also designed for high reliability, guaranteeing long mileage and low maintenance costs even under harsh operating conditions.
In addition, its compact design and small footprint provide high power density, making it ideal for applications where space is at a premium. The motor can adapt to different battery voltages, further increasing its versatility across different vehicle platforms. In addition, its small diameter allows it to be seamlessly integrated into standard transfer cases.
The GVM310 is a powerful choice for a wide range of on- and off-road vehicles. In addition to traction applications, where it can also be used as a high-efficiency generator, it is also available with a SAE-D interface for direct pump mounting. This also makes it suitable for use in electro-hydraulic pumps (EHP).
"We are expanding our performance range while ensuring high efficiency and reliability. This is how we meet the growing demand for electrification in mobile applications and support the industry's transition to more sustainable solutions," said Bruno Jouffrey, mobile market manager at Parker Hannifin.
