Positioning
Reduce production costs
Industrial companies today have to manufacture their products in many different variants. The three-axis positioning system (DAP) from Leantechnik enables the economical manufacture of these product derivatives on a single line. Since the system is driven by compact servo motors from AMKmotion, the wiring effort is very low.
The three-axis positioning system is ideal for use in mass customization: It can be adjusted quickly and without conversion work to components with different dimensions. Its flexibility and compactness make the DAP interesting for all industries that manufacture product derivatives. In the automotive industry, for example, four to six DAPs lift, guide and position a body during the entire production process.
The positioning accuracy of the DAP is ±0.05 mm, far exceeding the precision required in car production in the tenth of a millimeter range. The repeat accuracy is also remarkable: it is between ±0.02 mm and ±0.01 mm. The individual axes of the DAP can be exchanged for another axis with different technical values at any time. This gives the user the greatest possible flexibility and allows them to react quickly when production conditions change.
In cooperation with AMKmotion GmbH & Co. KG, Leantechnik has further developed the three-axis positioning system. The aim was to replace the previously required control cabinet on each production line with a decentralized drive solution. The powerful, decentralized servo motor iDT 5 from AMKmotion is ideal for this because it is very compact. The drive and inverter form a mechatronic functional unit in the iDT 5 because the servo controller is located directly on the motor. The space required for control cabinets and cabling is thus reduced by up to 70 percent.
